JUSTIN REID
OVERVIEW
Over the course of his 21-year career, Justin Reid has gained extensive experience working in the corporate security industry and as a retired U.S. Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander (O-4). He works closely with clients to deliver specialized solutions that mitigate enterprise security threats. Prior to joining Project Absentis, Mr. Reid was with an international security services company and spent five years as vice president at a business development consultancy focused on defense, aerospace, and maritime products. He was responsible for participating at a senior level in the formation of corporate and strategic plans, creating new business for clients, sustaining current accounts, and developing strategic alliances for Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. Mr. Reid retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 2021 while attached to the Emergency Management and Planning division. Throughout his service, he held numerous roles including Chief of Boat Forces, Chief of Operations, Chief of Law Enforcement, and D-8 Intelligence. While on active duty, he served in the Middle East on a Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) unit and was later handpicked to supervise the largest small boat fleet within the agency. During his role as Chief of Law Enforcement, he oversaw a team of federal law enforcement officers and directed missions involving ports, waterways, and coastal security and high-interest vessel boardings in the Ports of Galveston, Texas City, and Freeport, Texas with more than 14,000 square feet of the outer continental shelf and gateway to the nation’s largest petrochemical port complex.
